What makes Heartland for Children different?
HFC differs from other lead agencies in several ways. First, HFC is strongly committed to prevention programs. Second, HFC believes in the involvement of family to include extended family, close friends, school officials, clergy, and other professionals and paraprofessionals in developing the most effective case plans for clients. Finally, HFC will employ a Utilization Management program to assure the most efficient use of resources.

Will Heartland for Children provide services and/or case management?
No. HFC will subcontract all services.

Who will license foster homes?
Heartland for Children will be responsible for recruitment, retention and licensing of foster homes. The Department of Children and Families will retain final foster home licensing approval.
